Rain in Karachi: Citizens advise each other not to go out of the house
Residents of Karachi are sending messages to each other not to go out of the house today and not to let the children out at all.
"Some similar messages are being sent to each other by friends and loved ones on my mobile phone," said the BBC's Rashid Shakur.
The rain that has been falling for many hours in the city has not stopped completely and the dark clouds hovering in the sky are sending a message of more parish.
Authorities are also urging citizens not to leave their homes and to dial 1299 in case of emergency.

Flood situation in Karachi, sea also refuses to take water
Deputy Commissioner Kemari Mukhtar Ali Abro told the BBC's Azam Khan that the recent rains in Balochistan and Karachi had also affected his sub-divisions Maripur, Baldia and Harbor (Kemari). According to him, the waves are at a high level in the sea due to the 13th and 14th of the moon, due to which the sea is not in a position to take this water quickly.
According to the deputy commissioner, water has also entered houses in low-lying areas in Kemari.

According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall in Karachi was recorded at DHA till 5 am, which was recorded at 233.3 mm. Meteorologist Jawad Memon told local media that the system of more rains is moving towards the city, which is likely to bring more heavy rains in Karachi in the next few hours.

Rain has stopped but rescue operation may take time: DC South Karachi
Deputy Commissioner South Abdul Sattar Issani told the BBC that the rains had stopped at this time (Monday afternoon) and the rescue operation was underway. According to him, it may take some time to bring the situation under control.
At present PDMA, Waterboard, CBC, KMC personnel are busy in different areas of Karachi. However, according to him, no loss of life or property has been reported so far.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the average rainfall of three months of monsoon in Karachi is 141 meters while this time the monsoon has broken the average rainfall for the first time. According to him, the city has received 233 meshes of rain up to 3 mm since yesterday.
